Then there are those who go to what some would call stodgy, old-fashioned, or even spiritually 'dead' congregations. A few emaciated lambs in those congregations start searching for some new and refreshing feed somewhere else, even a church that will entertain and excite their dulled senses, where they can "feel " the presence of the LORD. All of this was foretold in Scripture, not only that, but it happened several times to the lost sheep of Israel when the lures of idolatry was too much for them, and their priests failed them in their duties to uphold the standard of God's righteousness. Today, we see history is repeating itself, and prophecy is being fulfilled before our very eyes. So should we be shocked by what it is happening in the once hallowed halls of Christianity, today? Please, let me be frank with you dear reader. Just as the holy temple of God was not a place to bring "Gentiles", the church is not a place to bring an unsaved loved one to hear an emotionally coated milquetoast gospel message. Rather, it is supposed to be a holy place where believers are to gather in the spirit of truth, to worship Jesus Christ, and to receive sound instruction and edification in our faith, and yes, even to receive some good ol' fashioned discipline when necessary.
