God's First Woman
Eve. God's first woman--according to Scripture, was the proverbial "icing on the cake" of God's awesome creation, or one could say, God saved the best for last! Just knowing what a perfectionist God is, Eve must have been absolutely gorgeous to behold, even though we are not graced with a physical description of her beauty, I can only imagine she was a real stunner. As a young girl and throughout my life, I remember how my mom would say, with much satisfaction in her tone, that "women are twice refined!" What she meant was that when God made Adam, he made him straight from the dirt, but he formed Eve from Adam's rib. Twice refined. Yes, that is what a woman should be. A woman should carry herself with an air of grace and elegance, and she should be free from any sort of outward vulgarity, or lewdness of conduct. Sadly, this is not the case in our modern times. These days, it is considered normal and desirable for a woman to act and talk like a man- not a gentleman mind you, but more like an odious pig in heat, or unruly sailor on shore leave.
Considering the glorious manner in which God created his most stunning creature, there is not much in this life that is uglier than witnessing a beautiful woman open her lovely mouth only to expresses herself with all the eloquence of a dumb jock, or a loud mouthed ignoramus. Hollywood can't pump out enough smutty female 'role models' who dress and carry themselves like the cheap tawdry prostitutes, which line Hollywood's filthy streets come sundown. Still other silver screen sirens send out the erroneous message that a woman is to be a gun toting, jaw busting fem fatal. Here we have two conflicting scenarios for women, the world's view, and God's view. Since God made us, it stands to reason that he has the first and last say in the matter, or at least He should. So in what proper fashion did God intend his most glorious creature, woman, to carry herself? Scripturally speaking, a woman should carry herself with grace, modesty, charity, compassion, and possess the inner strength of a gentile and quiet spirit. Do those traits sound attractive to you? I hope so.
Feminism In The Church
The feminist movement. What an ugly blemish on the visage of godly womanhood. We have one Elizabeth Cady Stanton to boo and hiss at for starting this garbage in the U.S. She was the wife of Henry Stanton the slavery reformer, apparently she considered herself to be a slave too. Now whose fault is that? From what I can tell, she was not loved by her father who openly would have preferred her to have been a boy. Wow, that hurts. So she tried to gain his love by being the best man she could be. This is very sad indeed, and as a result, she became a rebellious and jaded woman. I completely understand what this kind of pain and rejection can do to a woman, but I can honestly say, the end doesn't justify the means. Rather than embracing her sex despite her father's rejection, she abhorred and rejected femininity in favor of being a man, well, in actions, not actual gender. And like all women who are in open rebellion to their Maker, she tried to give credence to her folly with allusion to Scripture in her ridiculous feminist amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which is tragically, a Christ-less document in and of itself.
Dear reader, wake up and smell the ink, the founders of the U.S. were treasonous Freemasons, not real biblical Christians. If they were real Christians, then they would have considered themselves pilgrims in this life, and would have obeyed their king unless he demanded worship as a god. Anyway, What did she lobby for? Not just equality in voting, and the work place, but for the right to divorce. Oooo, good one. Didn't she read Jesus' words regarding divorce? How about the words of the Apostle Paul? Does that mean she is lobbying for the right to commit adultery too? If women really want to be equal to men, then they should demand to be held accountable for their abuse of men in the area of emotional and sexual blackmail. How about that baby? Why not pony up to the bar and demand women should do jail time for being a home wrecker, or a man-eater? We'll call them the Barracuda, or Jezebel Laws. What no takers? Then dear feminist, I call you out as a hypocrite.
Wives are to love and respect their husbands, and submit to them in everything, not through manipulation, but rather through genuine submission. Jesus will deal with your man if he is abusing you in any way, and trust me, his is very good at getting even. But until then, get the heck our of there! If your man is a wife/child beater, or unrepentant adulterer, then you have his permission to leave, and even re-marry, but don't think you can fool or manipulate Jesus on this issue. Dear reader, I know this revelation is very difficult for many women to embrace, the Bible bears this out in Gen. 3:16, and other places, but are we going to do what is right in our own eyes, or are we going to live by faith, and allow Christ's word to change us? You can't be a Christian feminist in Christ's church. In a human traditions church, sure, but not in Christ's church. I know, I've tried it, and it sucked big time!
When a woman loves her husband with honor and respect (the things he craves) it motivates him to cherish and protect, and to provide for his wife to the best of his ability. Which causes her honor and respect her husband even more, which motivates him to love, cherish, protect and provide even more. Do you understand the wonderful cycle the Lord laid out? What happens when we don't do what we are supposed to do? Disaster awaits. I realize that there are men out there who were not raised to be strong leaders, and many more whose actions are hardly deserving of honor and respect, but this is in no way a good excuse to be a bad wife. The worst thing to hit Western Society if the social disaster known as 'dating.' Going back to courtship, and even arranged marriages would be a step in the right direction, contrary to what you may think. Don't your family and friends know you well?Did your friends and family approve of your mate? Were they right? Now in defense of you choosing your own mate, if you show a consistent track record of being a good judge of character, then by all means, do not let anyone take that away from you. But if you choose friends that take advantage of you, people who are shady, or have bad tempers -- you need help in deciding who to marry from people who are good judges of character.
Where does the idea of meeting and falling in love come from in our Western Society anyway? Fairy tales. Do fairly tale dreams really come true? Rarely if ever in real life; mostly in the world of make believe. When the divorce rate of arranged marriages is only 5% compared to the whopping 50% divorce rate of un-arranged marriages, it is hard to argue with that kind of success. Are they happy though? Most say they are. Why? Because their parents, friends, and other family members are all involved in the process, they have a vested interest in your, and their happiness. You are not an island, you not only marry your spouse, you marry their family too. I was not a very good judge of character when it came to men, and neither was my mother. Fortunately for me, even though my husband wasn't saved, he prayed to God that He would bring him a good wife. For some strange reason, God chose me! Honestly, what was he thinking? We met at work, and for him, it was love at first sight, he just knew we were going to be married...it took me a little longer to come to that conclusion. Anyway, our marriage has not been without its trials and tribulations, but for the most part it has been great. I believe this is because my husband asked the God of heaven for his wife, and a good wife is a gift from God. But please understand, I didn't start out as a "good" wife, I had to be cut, buffed, and polished-- a lot, to bring out my goodness that Jesus issued me. My wonderful husband was very patient while Jesus, our master jeweler, cut away the garbage and brought out any shine I currently possess, I still have a ways to go, but I'm getting there, one facet at a time.

Was Eve completely perfect? Apparently not. She had a big huge flaw - she was easily deceived, even if she was intending to do what was right and good. However, as we all do when we are caught in sin, she pointed the finger of blame at Satan. Well, she was right, he did deceive her. I'm also intrigued that she didn't also blame Adam for not protecting her, kudos to her! Oh, and she didn't blame God for making Satan, or Adam, either. For me, that is a little glimpse into her real character, she had a real sense of responsibility. Adam? Not so much. I seem to recall Adam shirking his responsibilities, and even blaming God for giving him Eve. Nice, huh? No, not nice! And how is she repaid in posterity, even in most of what we loosely call: Christendom? She is actually accused of single-handedly bringing down the entire human race, by usurping Adam's authority in some feministic ploy to rule the world. Can't people read? She gave Adam the piece of fruit, she didn't command him to eat it, nor did she force feed him. God directly told Adam to keep (guard) the garden and to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The apostle Paul made it very clear that Adam was solely responsible for the fall of mankind, not Eve, and not even Satan. Preachers had better get their stories straight, or they are doing the same wicked thing Adam did. People don't like to acknowledge that this was God's plan from the beginning, but it was. This historical event provides us a lesson that we need to take to heart and not ignore, or twist. God established the family, and how it is to be run, while Satan uses man to destroy it, whether willingly or through deception. The husband is to lead and protect his wife (and family), and take responsibility for that role, while his one and only wife is to desire her own husband in submission, and be his right hand gal. And together, they are to raise godly children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Eve was indeed God's crowning glory of creation, so let us ladies make sure each of us does our part to exemplify that high calling, despite our sin nature, with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ!
