Halloween is here once more, and ya know, it never ceases to amaze me how we humans, who normally recoil in horror and disgust to the idea of spending time with dead bodies and communing with evil monsters and spirits, put all that common sense aside for one day out of the year - why? Even more amazing to me is how artists are able to take something that is | evil and ugly, like a demon or a dragon, give it googly eyes and a sweet smile and voila - evil is now cute! Well, this is how I see Halloween these days- it is evil hiding under a thinnly veiled mask of fun. I might say somethings you don't agree with, but I can say them because I have taken the plank out of my eye, I have repented and asked God to forgive me for going along with the world. |
Operation Speck Removal
So, dear reader, have you really taken the time to consider what it is you are celebrating? What is Halloween really all about? Is it really some harmless autumn merriment, or is it rooted in evil? Should we be alarmed, or is that kinda talk a bunch of superstitious hoo ha? Well give me a moment to inform you, and you can decide for yourself aside from my decision.
First of all we need to realize that a holiday in general, is really someone's holy-day, and a holy-day involves ceremony, rituals, or rites, in other words, worship [see my article on Holidays are Holydays for more info]. Now then, we need to ask our selves some questions and get some answers. This particular holy-day commemorates someone of importance -like a god, or hero, and even some event or happening of importance. So who or what important happening is Halloween venerating? When did this holy-day start and who started it, and why?
There's A God of Halloween?
Meet Samhain [sAH -ween]. He is the horned nature god of the dead, or is he? Samhain really means 'end of summer' in old Irish. To fully understand the origins of this pagan holy-day one must study and study a lot; it can get really confusing too. There is a lot of information to sift through, and a bit of detective work is involved, so I hope to provide some cliff notes for you on this vast subject. I read an interesting article that makes sense to me in light of what I am currently researching (Babylonian mystery religions), and I'll have to go back and re-read it. The author makes a good case that it was the Roman Catholic celebration of All-Saints Day that really infused most of the current traditions of Halloween we see today. But in true hypocritical style, of course, the Catholic church now solely blames the Druid priests and simple pagan people of Britannia for the current celebrations. This kind of hypocrisy is made possible with the use of propaganda, and typical Catholic'Jesuit black ops tactics. And ironically, according to Homer Simpson, someone I don't often quote, "It takes two to lie. One to tell the lie, and the other to believe it." This kind of thing can backfire, which gives Jesus a black eye of sorts, because people wrongly associate real followers of Jesus as being Catholics, but I assure you, they aren't. Catholics can't honestly represent Christ any more than Druids can. However, the Druids, Celtic and Irish people are not entirely off the hook, as they still participated in many unsavory pagan practices including human sacrifice and cannibalism Their sacrifices were usually (Lord give me strength) small children ["sniff"]!
The story usually goes that Samhain, the horned god of Celtic paganism, is honored at this time of year, Oct 31/Nov.1 on the pagan calendar, depicted as an eight spoked wheel, and so that is how he got his name. This idolatrous wheel is actually spoken of in 2 Kings 23:11, and there is a cult known as Ma'asch Merkavah that involves this eight spoked chariot wheel, it is also known as "The Wheel of the Year." Since Catholicism conquered much of the world by sword and is heavily rooted in Babylonian mystery religion, it stands to reason that this holy-day was reinforced and even augmented through Catholic rites taught to the "simple" nature people of Britannia. Even so, remember, all pagan religions have a parent root in Babylonia, so the Druids aren't that innocent - more on that in a minute.
We have been told that Samhain celebrations can last up to a week, they are marked by harvest festivals, feasting, laying out wreaths and other favorite trinkets to remember and honor dearly departed loved ones. Sounds innocent enough, nothing outright "sinister' there, until you dig a bit deeper. Please understand that everything has roots, and the roots are the 'brains' of the plant - so if you dig to the root, then you get to the brain or heart of a matter. The Celtic in general, and the ancient Irish people specifically, were indeed pagan nature worshipers, and were ruled by Druid priests, who told their followers (village idiots), that this time of year on the Wheel of Life was a time when the veil between this world and the spirit world was the thinnest. Druid priests were considered to be seers, or sorcerers, also knows as "oak knowers", they could even be considered as priests of the "church of oak". They were sought by kings and the common folk for wisdom and advice. We have all been exposed to the pagan belief of pantheism, being that all living things have a soul - even trees, through fairy tales. Fairy Tales are really oral instructions in idolatry, handed down through generations and are cryptic in nature. They hold double meanings and symbolism that only the initiated can glean from. Oak trees are particularly special to Druids.
Now, let's look at some quotes from scholars that attribute Halloween to the Celtic people.
"The holiday had its beginning in a pre-Christian festival of the dead celebrated by the Celtic people of England, Ireland and Scotland. . .The festival observed at this time, called Samhain (pronounced SAH-WEEN), was the biggest and most significant holiday of the Celtic year. At this crease in time might not the spirits of generations departed find it appropriate to mingle with the living?. . .the Celts practiced an elaborate religion through their priestly caste, the Druids" [Natural History-October, 1983, pp. 43-44].
"During this interval the normal order of the universe is suspended, the barriers between the natural and the supernatural are temporarily removed, the sidh lies open and all divine beings and the spirits of the dead move freely among men and interfere sometimes violently, in their affairs" [Celtic Mythology, p. 127].
"the Celtic festival of the dead, Samain (was) an occasion marked by burning human offerings" [The Druids and their Heritage, p. 24, Ward Rutherford].
"In the eighth century All Saints' Day was moved to November 1 or Samhain from its original date, May 13, which in Roman times had been a day dedicated to the Lemures, malevolent gods which drank human blood" [The Black Arts, Richard Cavendish, p. 334]
"human sacrifice was a frequent and common element in their religious procedure. No sacrifice might be carried out except in the presence of a Druid" ..."We are informed by Keating that the Irish Druids on the eve of Samhain burned their victims in the holy fire" (The History and Origins of Druidism, p. 104/105 Human Sacrifice, Lewis Spencer ).
According to these chilling quotes, Halloween is looking more and more like an evil pagan holy-day. Some will say- "Yeah well, these are myths - not real history." okay, let's go with that, maybe this stuff is based in myth. Myths contain a grain of truth surround by exaggerations, or they are tales that use symbols in an effort to teach a truth that is to be considered - in other words they are a parable of sorts. i'm seeking for that grain of truth. Apparently, the Druids didn't leave very much written information about themselves, and this can be a bad thing in that some not so honest people can "write" them a history. So now, we have to rely on the Romans and Greeks, and any other nation that kept really good written records, those who came into contact with them. And according to the Greeks and Romans - the Druids were barbaric by their own cultured standards, and did indeed engage in human sacrifices and cannibalism, something they abhorred. This is rather hypocritical on their part, when one researches Saturnalia, one finds a holy day the Romans celebrated on Dec. 17th round abouts, a celebration that lasted for seven days, in honor of their god Saturn [Satan], and the Greek god Kronos [also Satan]which had a human sacrifice finale all their own. Wow, that sounds familiar doesn't it?
Source of Paganism
A significant point to remember is that all people came from the one place - the Ark - or from Noah's sons, after the great flood, this is what the Bible tells us. These people moved to the plain of Shinar and degraded quickly into idolatrous sun and moon worship at the Tower of Babel. After God broke up their "let's make our selves into little gods" party, by giving them different languages, they took with them their pagan beliefs and practices they learned from Nimrod and Semiramis - Baal worship, to the lands they settled. All nations currently have a form of this idolatrous worship to varying degrees. So really, if you care to see it, the Roman Catholic Church, the current head mistress of the harlot mystery religion, is a major contributor of the modern Halloween celebrations.
Dude Looks Like A Lady
On a side note - I find it interesting that all the pagan gods have a male and female duality - there is both a male and female god of war, love, etc. Here too we see Samhain is a "he" and sometimes a "she". In the above picture, Samhain looks like a hermaphrodite, or even a dude in drag. This picture also gives a clue as to "Samhain's" true origin being Babylonian. He/she is holding an apple - a symbol of man's fall, and a pyramid is floating above its horned hair. Horns symbolize an ox or bull and represent strength, virility authority and power. Baal is well noted as being represented as being a bull. Also curious to note is that many pagan nature gods have horns and or wings, do you know of a fallen angel that is noted to have horns and wings? The pyramid is a symbol of ultimate power in the form of a mountain - a man-made mountain, because only omnipotent God Almighty can form real mountains. The Tower of Babel was a ziggurat or a man-made mountain on a flat plain - which was a very insolent move on their part.
It's Just Innocent Fun - Really?
Okay, take a gander at some examples of what people can do these days with the art of carving pumpkins - pretty amazing huh? They can be super scary, or they can be made into cute faces or characters - but does carving a cute face instead of a scary one, change the original intent for their use? No, it doesn't. My sweet, innocent, little niece asked me why we [my family] don't celebrate Halloween. I had to think about my answer carefully, she's a smart little cookie, but she is still only 8 years old. I decided to go with the direct approach. I told her, "Because, it is a holy-day rooted in evil." Her beautiful brown eyes got big. That got her attention. I went on to explain the real purpose |
Anyway, I also told her that this is a holiday in which it is made to be about dressing up and getting lots of candy [what kid doesn't like dressing up and getting candy?], but it is really about honoring a pagan god of the dead - [I used Samhain before I really researched this -sorry. It should really be Baal, or Satan if you really want to get technical]. Then, I asked her if she knew what extortion was, and she shook her little ponytail. I told her it was when someone demanded something good and threatened to harm the person, if they didn't give it to them, and that's when her big brown eyes got bigger. Then I asked her what she says outside the doors of people's homes - she enthusiastically shouted, "Trick or Treat!" I told her - "That is extortion. You are saying - 'give me a treat or I'm going to trick you!' "
Surely, most little children have no intention of harming anyone, they just want to dress up in a cool costume and get candy. Children only do what they are taught, so the blame rests with parents who don't think about what these rituals represent, or where they came from and why. These same parents who don't think to find out that these seemingly fun rituals are rooted in ancient idolatry, are sadly the same ones, who when told the real reason for the season, just shrug it off as as poppycock, or insist it is no big deal. Well, I assure you dear reader, it is a big deal, especially to Wiccans, Druids, and Satanists - since it is after all, their high-holy day. And it is a very big deal to Satan, but more importantly it is a big deal to God, since he hates all forms of wickedness.
My niece had no more questions and changed the subject - like most adults do when faced with the reality that the face of evil often hides behind masks of good. Please, ask yourself how many holidays end in a trip to the local fire station or hospital so your children's confectionery booty can be irradiated to make sure some nut case didn't hide a "trick" in your child's treats? How then can anyone think this holy-day is fun and safe? Things have a way of returning to their origin - Halloween started out as evil and is fast losing its cute and fun mask, and is returning to its evil and sinister form. Every year, more and more unsolved ritual murder cases are popping up this time of year- but this is all hush hush in the media. If anyone mentions this, then they are immediately laughed at, ridiculed, or labeled a conspiracy theorist. Well, this claim can be investigated easily enough, just ask your law enforcement friend or relative, some might tell you, but some might not. I personally knew an officer that loathed Halloween night detail, and for good reason.
In Conclusion
So dear reader, no matter how you carve it up, like it or not, Halloween is the high holy-day of the horned nature god of the dead - no matter what you call him/her - they all point ultimately to Satan. No matter how you choose to celebrate it, you are honoring Satan, whether you intend to or not, it is that simple. No Christian in their right mind and heart should be caught "dead" participating in this evil pagan holy-day that worships a horned nature god of the dead, because our God is the God of the living, and he doesn't have horns like a bull or wings like a fairy, or an angel, much less a fallen angel. Please understand that when you participate in this pagan high holy-day you are eating from the table of Satan and his demon hoards, and that makes you fair game to all the evil spirits associated with it. It is ridiculous and foolhardy to think a scary or funny carved vegetable will protect you from their evil powers, when only the name above every name (Jesus) can do that.
You, dear reader, will be responsible to God for how you raise your children, not me. You and you alone will have to stand before him and explain why you permitted them to participate in a Satanic high holy-day. So I beg you, dear reader, please consider this information carefully and make a wise decision. Even better, research it for yourself. If you have decided that is information is sound, then the wise thing to do would be to repent, and ask God for forgiveness and then don't celebrate this Satanic high holy-day anymore. If you think this is still a bunch of poppycock and superstitious hoo ha, then consider yourself warned, and there will be consequences for your decision. That is not a threat, but a simple fact. Amen!
