So this is what I did for two crazy days, trying to get enough signs ready for the craft fair. I produced these hand painted (not stenciled) signs and made from old fence boards, some of the ones still left from the free dog house I acquired for my chicken coop project.
My youngest sister (the most awesome specialty cake goddess ever) also makes gorgeous feather jewelry, and last Wednesday when Kyle and I went over for our weekly trash day visit, she told me about a craft fair that was going to go down this last Saturday, or was supposed to happen, but got rained out, well ... for us anyway. She and I are each battling colds, and so we didn't want to sit out in the cold drizzly weather freezing our tail feathers off ( ah achooo! - sniff ). Uhhhg, where was I? Oh yeah, feathers - besides, her feather jewelry doesn't like being in the rain, so even though my painted signs can weather a rain storm, I wasn't about to be out in the cold alone. So this is what I did for two crazy days, trying to get enough signs ready for the craft fair. I produced these hand painted (not stenciled) signs and made from old fence boards, some of the ones still left from the free dog house I acquired for my chicken coop project. The paint is acrylic, and then sprayed with polyurethane, and embellished with glass beads, silver plated wire, twine or macrame yarn. Now we are hoping we have better weather on the 21st, when the next craft fair is scheduled, so we can sell our hand crafted wares!
