I would have to agree with that idiom this year anyway. Just look at what we have been experiencing for the last couple of days - March's roar!
Many moons ago, when I was in the third grade, we were given an art project where we were to make a cotton ball lamb on one side of a paper plate, and a construction paper lion on the other side. The idea was to illustrate the idiom for the month of March, which states that: March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. I would have to agree with that idiom this year anyway. Just look at what we have been experiencing for the last couple of days - March's roar! Oh look. The sun came out. Oh no... its just one of our sunflowers. Hmmm...Give it some googly eyes and a pink tongue and it could be a lion. For now, I'm enjoying the rainy weather, as it means free water for our gardens, but I'm looking forward to when March makes its meteorological transformation and goes out like a lamb...for now, my man and I can't do much gardening. Here he is, resting after our mornings muddy marathon effort to get some blueberries planted before the torrential rains poured down once more. Rest well sweetheart, our next big project is the grape trellis....that'll be fun!
