Hmm, looking at this picture makes me glad love is blind! Is this how I look to people? It must be because I was struggling with these weeds for a few frustrating hours, ya that's it. Even Kyle informed me that I was filthy and needed a shower, this picture just doesn't capture what he observed, I was pretty dirty! Overall a job well done!
Kyle has been bugging me lately about pruning the plumbego in our back yard near our back door. So, I decided to go ahead and do it, look he is all smiles - that's right, more green garden waste which will make his trash cans runneth over! So much for my rose bed, again, and I found out I have to make goodies for Kyle's closing ceremonies for baseball, so the apricot jam will have to wait another day. He did a great job helping me, not a lot of "managing". Looking at this picture makes me glad love is blind! Here I am with my trophies - four o'clocks and their huge roots! These things were buried about 1 foot deep and under our porch slab tightly squeezed next to the plumbego. I had to call in the big guns - my son Timothy, to pull the sucker out. This is only a fraction of what was in the bed. Upon reflection it was hard work, I got a few booboos and many times I wanted to call it quits, but four o' clocks aren't good for chickens so I perservered and triumphed! So many worth while things in this life require perserverence, please don't quit!
