Amazingly, Buttercup started out her egg laying career as being somewhat of a dud. I even considered renaming her "Butterdud." This year she came in second place, again, thanks in part to Daisy's untimely demise. She finished this year at exactly 200 eggs. Well done Miss Buttercup! I hope this coming year will be just as productive, if not more so.
Blossom, Blossom, Blossom. This poor little hen has the dubious distinction of being the dud of the year. What a sad showing, at 135 eggs. But not to worry, I have an idea that might help this beautiful hen increase her egg laying capacity. I intended to start giving all of the hens a special kind of feed, well, more like a special concoction known as fermented feed. I will see if all of the hullabaloo is worth the effort.
